Matthew Hilton - Designer Spotlight

Matthew Hilton is undeniably one of the UK's most accredited designers, with over 30 years experience in the design field, including designing pieces for top manufacturers, and then moving on to create his celebrated eponymous brand in 2007. His furniture can be seen on display in both the 'Victoria & Albert' Museum and the 'Geffrye' Museum in London.

In 2007, when Matthew established his self-named brand 'Matthew Hilton Ltd' his goal was to gain full control of the creative processes, enabling him to design and produce furniture exactly the way he envisioned. 
Working with high quality, durable mediums consisting mainly of solid hardwood but also featuring heavy metals such as cast iron and brass, Matthew maintains full design control whilst utilising the Portuguese manufacturer 'De La Espada' to build his products.

De La Espada have experience in working with the highest quality of materials and provide expert hand-craftsmanship married with cutting edge modern manufacturing capabilities, enabling them to physically bring to life Matthew Hilton's stunning creations.
