Celebrating 10 Years of The Vitra Polder Sofa

10 Years ago, the Polder Sofa was designed by Hella Jongerius for Vitra, with it's unique shape design and mixtures of fabrics, this sofa was truly iconic.

Now in 2015, this characteristic piece has been revamped and re-released. Available in either standard or compact versions,with a choice of four different colour/fabric mixes, and also featuring the option of a standalone Ottoman, this sofa system has definitely come back with a bang.

Jongerius describes the piece herself as a "modern classic" due to it being so distinctively unique, her aim was to revisit and revise the existing design whilst at the same time maintaining the style and overall feel of its predecessor. To do this she changed the existing materials used, both internally and externally and modified the seating position with increased comfort levels in mind.

The vivid colour options available, combined with a mix of various different fabrics, will not fail to impress. The fabric options provide an understated dissimilarity between the different shades, but enough to catch the eye.

The colour options are; Red, Green, Golden Yellow & Night Blue.
