Vitra Eames Plastic Stool

The Plastic Chairs RE by Charles and Ray Eames were the very first chairs to be developed out of plastic for industrial production. In collaboration with the Eames Office, Vitra has released stool versions of the classic Eames shell chairs - medium height ideally suited to kitchen counters, and high for bars and standing tables. This listing is for the medium height stool. From January 2024 the shells of the Eames Plastic Chairs from Vitra are now made of recycled post-consumer plastic. Due to the composition of the recycled materials, the different colour versions of the seat shells are interspersed with tiny specks of pigment. The Recycled colours are signposted by 'RE' on the seat shell finish option.
